ArborOne Launches Major Hiring Campaign: Farm Lending Leader Recruits New Employees
Florence, SC (PRWEB) November 13, 2007 -- ArborOne Financial, a member of the Farm Credit System headquartered in Florence, South Carolina has announced plans to increase its staff. The hiring campaign begins immediately. Over the next three years, ArborOne has plans to grow its team by a whopping 38%. To make room for a larger staff, the Farm Credit association recently broke ground on a two-story headquarters in Florence, across from the Florence Civic Center.
The local lending organization cites the following reasons for its dramatic expansion:
1) More loans to young and beginning farmers in 2007 have created a need to serve these accounts
2) Increased demand for new mortgage (http://www.arboroneaca.com/landandhome/index.htm) options tailored to the "lifestyle market"--people who choose to move to South Carolina for quality of life issues
3) Strong growth in the mortgage business is expected in early 2008, since ArborOne is one of only a handful of lenders that can provide mortgages with no limit on acreage
"We've seen our portfolio of loans (http://www.arboroneaca.com/finoptions.htm) grow substantially in the last five years," says Jack Shuler, CEO. "The fact is, more people are discovering South Carolina. Our state has it all--recreation, hunting, the beach, and great people."
"We are proud to be well known for service," says Mary Dickson, Marketing Manager. "Our customers are our owners. As we grow, we plan to keep service levels high, so we're ramping up appropriately." One of the many high-service touches ArborOne is known for is its on-site approach. Relationship managers drive to farms to talk over lending (http://www.arboroneaca.com/finoptions.htm) options with farmers and are often present at loan closings. Another popular service is ArborOne's profit-sharing policy. ArborOne pays back a portion of its annual profits to its members through patronage refunds.
The new hiring campaign from ArborOne is playing a role in South Carolina's economic recovery. Recent economic development findings from a study by Donald L. Schunk, Ph.D, research economist at Coastal Carolina University, point out that having infrastructure in place is key to creating a robust regional economy. As more businesses establish themselves in Darlington and Florence counties, the resulting economic ramifications are much like a "ripple effect" says Schunk, who has called for regional economic development. ArborOne contributes to the area's growth as Schunk says, "by ensuring that the infrastructure is in place to support these markets."
About ArborOne: ArborOne Financial provides a full line of lending solutions in the 12 county area of South Carolina. For the last 85 years, ArborOne has provided agricultural and home loans for people all across the Pee Dee region. A long-standing Farm Credit lender, ArborOne is community owned, and features patronage refunds and low interest rates.
